It always seems so tiring and difficult when you contemplate it, and then one or two bad experiences away from home with the kids is enough to make you want to stay put for ever... I'm glad I went and I' ll look out for opportunities to go back. You should do it too. Find a conference that would be really useful and take a trip, by yourself. Just for a few days. Go on!Sandrinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10229404784641370601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4563136033538910586.post-9236612016343714812010-09-03T13:23:19.233+03:002010-09-03T13:23:19.233+03:00A trip to Italy (for a conference, even) with no f...A trip to Italy (for a conference, even) with no family, no kids... sounds like heaven to me! I bet you had a lot more fun this time than in a Roman convent!

Last I was in Italy was for my honeymoon, 10 years ago, which was also my last trip to Europe. Seems we never go anywhere these days. Would love to put on my traveling shoes again, maybe when the boys are older.Vardahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13542045802860922751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4563136033538910586.post-62390809369895662292010-09-01T16:48:48.390+03:002010-09-01T16:48:48.390+03:00No,no,no. But it's amazing how much sight seeing and evenings out you can cram into a conference and still not be utterly exhausted when you leave the kids at home! You should definitely go back. I had never been in Florence, and my last trip to Italy was 18 years ago when I spent a week in a convent in Rome.Sandrinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10229404784641370601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4563136033538910586.post-61263934915120003752010-09-01T16:26:28.497+03:002010-09-01T16:26:28.497+03:00For some reason this didn't sound like a famil...For some reason this didn't sound like a family holiday - or maybe I am mistaken? Either way, I am very envious - was saying to my husband at the weekend how I would love to go back to Tuscany. I went with my parents when I was 15 and loved it.Julie Sardinetinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05541550094754392755noreply@blogger.com
