10 things that make ME happy

I have been tagged by Julie from http://kailexness.wordpress.com/ and I really liked what she said. I don’t really want to go through the obvious ‘world peace’, ‘my family’, because I’m not running for Miss France and it doesn’t say I have to write about the 10 TOP things that make me happy. So here are 10 regular, although essential, things that make me, Marianne, happy.
1- My shoes : I like shoes. I never seem to get enough. I think it’s some sort of disease. It’s comforting that it seems to be hitting many, many girls around the world and even has an official spokeswoman, Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie in Sex and the City.
2- Sex and the City II coming out in June. I was disappointed by the first one, too politically correct, not enough sex, not enough fun, not enough girl’s talks. But the mere prospect of putting heels on and going there with my girlfriends is really cool.
3- Chocolate. I’ve already posted, like (Phi, that ‘like’ was for you) a whole article on chocolate. Life without chocolate isn’t worth living, in my opinion
4- Books. They make me happy. Always. Even when I didn’t really like the book, I’m happy to put it down. See ?
5- Singing. I don’t sing that often any more. It’s a shame, I should sing all the time. Like when I was 14 years old and was sure I was going to be a rock star. Or when I was 20 years old and just knew I was going to sing in bars with a jazz band. I think I stopped believing around the age of 23 years old. Singing makes me happy, but thinking of singing makes me sad. Interesting.
6- Getting e-mails. Or actual letters. Or phone calls. Or Facebook comments. Or Tweets. Or texts on my blackberry. Might be a little addicted to communication tools. But am no cave man. Am grown-up modern woman. Right.
7- Making people laugh. Another career I would have enjoyed. I remember when I was 8 years old, we went to a resort in Tunisia and I put up a show, imitating politicians. I remember people laughing hard, but maybe they were just laughing cause it was surreal to see some 8 year-old speak in Jacques Chirac’s voice. Nowadays, I never resist the opportunity to say or write something silly, as long as it makes someone laugh.
8- Cooking great food, drinking good wine whilst preparing great food, and whatever comes out of those activities. I’ll let your minds wander!
9- Alexander Skarsgaard. Yes, Sandrine and I are obsessed. But we know it, so that’s OK. We’ll actually be together to watch True Blood’s first episode of series 2. I can already picture us giggling when Godlike Alex appears.
10- Doing this blog thing. I have to admit, I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy it. But little did I know what impact it would have on my relationship with my evil sisters.
Here are 5 other bloggers I would like to read on this one : (sorry if you’ve done it before!!!)

I'm so with you on the communications, I love getting texts, remarks, comments on the blog or facebook, it must be due to being in the constant company of toddlers - any adult contact is such a buzz :-)

Indigomachin : We are so going together. Let's put together a group of ladiiiiiiiiiies and go have fun.
Hannah : yep, read it, it's great. But now you look like Julie Andrews ;)
Kaliexness : tell me about it. I stopped working for a year for each of my children, I felt cut out from reality!
